H&K Adds Hellmann's Mayonnaise Business

Hill & Knowlton’s consumer marketing practice has been selected by Unilever Bestfoods to work on behalf of its Hellmann’s brand in 2002.

NEW YORK, March 12—Hill & Knowlton’s consumer marketing practice has been selected by Unilever Bestfoods to work on behalf of its Hellmann’s brand in 2002.
 
Hill & Knowlton will work to help Bestfoods contemporize its best-selling brand, using media relations, consumer outreach and support for existing promotional activity. The program will include each of the brand’s variants: Hellmann’s/Best Foods Real Mayonnaise, Light Mayonnaise, Just 2 Good, Mayo con Limone and Big Squeeze.
 
H&K already represents Unilever Bestfoods brands including Skippy peanut butter and Ragu Express, and has been handling a corporate campaign to promote Unilever’s End Hunger Cookbook.
 
“H&K impressed us with its work on Hellmann’s Salad Dressings and was our obvious choice when we were looking to entrust another of our of major brands to a PR agency,” says senior brand manager Christiane Paul.
 
The program will be managed from the agency’s New York office with managing director Julie Eaton leading the team.
