LONDON—Hill & Knowlton, Edelman and Fleishman-Hillard top the list of European SABRE awards finalists, which include programs from 26 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A full list of finalists will be posted to our European website, www.holmesreport.co.uk, later today. The winners will be announced at our annual European awards dinner on May 24 in Barcelona, Spain.

Hill & Knowlton topped the list with 14 nominated programs, followed by Edelman with 11 (as well as two from its Jackie Cooper PR subsidiary) and Fleishman-Hillard with 11.

Other firms with multiple nominees include Euro RSCG Worldwide, with nine (plus two for its Maitland Consultancy financial communications operation); Ketchum and Weber Shandwick, with nine each; Porter Novelli and Trimedia, with eight each; Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (seven); Burson-Marsteller (six, plus one for its Marsteller unit); The Red Consultancy (six); Pleon (five); and Brands2Life, Cohn & Wolfe, GCI Group, and Publicis Consultants (four each).

The awards dinner will also include presentation of our Consultancy of the Year awards, which were announced in our 2006 European Consultancy Report Card last year, and our Best Consultancies to Work For awards, announced in the newsletter last summer.

The dinner will be held at the Maritime Museum in Barcelona, and will be catered by the Hotel Arts, after we were forced to change our original plan to hold the entire event at the Arts. Cocktails will be served at 8pm and dinner will begin at 9 (which is actually early by Spanish standards).

For tickets and tables, call Celeste Picco in New York on 212 333 2300 or e-mail [email protected].
