NEW YORK, February 6—Biopharmaceutical manufacturer Cephalon has selected Hill & Knowlton to handle two of its high-growth products, Provigil and Gabitril. Provigil, which has received widespread national media attention, is indicated for excessive daytime sleepiness due to narcolepsy; Gabitril is currently indicated for partial seizures in epilepsy.

“Cephalon selected Hill & Knowlton based on its creativity and vision for our brands,” according to Sheryl Williams, senior director of product communications for the West Chester, Pa.-based company.

Samina Bari, who led the pitch team, will serve as the client relationship manager for the Cephalon business, which is valued in excess of $1 million.  The business was previously represented by GCI.
