DUBAI — Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired Weber Shandwick's Stuart Macaulay to lead its Abu Dhabi operation, as part of a series of management moves in the Middle East.

The firm has promoted Lucy Harvey to regional director, with Lisa Welsh stepping up to succeed the former as Dubai GM.

Macaulay arrives at H+K after more than three years leading Weber Shandwick in Qatar. Harvey has risen steadily up the ranks since joining the firm in 2010, and her new role will see her supporting operations, strategy and client relationships across H+K's eight Middle East offices, particularly the UAE and Egypt.

Welsh previously served as deputy GM in Dubai and also heads the agency's health and wellness practice across the Middle East and Africa.

"It has been a stellar year for H+K in the UAE and now, by appointing Stuart and promoting both Lucy and Lisa, we will only strengthen our position and offering even further," said Sconaid McGeachin, H+K’s president and CEO for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
