Hannegan Joins Edelman Employee Practice

Christopher Hannegan has joined Edelman as senior vice president, and U.S. director of employee engagement, a new position with the company.

CHICAGO—Christopher Hannegan has joined Edelman as senior vice president, and U.S. director of employee engagement, a new position with the company. The employee engagement group focuses on internal communications and is part of the firm’s corporate affairs practice.

Hannegan, who most recently was with employee communications and management consulting specialist Matha MacDonald, will report to Mark Shadle, executive vice president and managing director, corporate affairs, and will be based in Edelman’s Chicago office. He will assist Edelman clients in strengthening organizational relationships and will manage communications challenges including mergers and acquisitions, downsizing, culture transformations, labor relations, and employee retention.

While at Matha MacDonald, Hannegan worked with International Truck and Engine Corporation (formerly Navistar) and United Airlines. Prior to Matha MacDonald, he worked for Bayer, focusing on international employee communications.
