Harris Leaves Access for Ketchum IBM Role

Peter Harris, most recently general manager of the New York office of San Francisco-based Access Communications, has joined Ketchum to work on the International Business Machines account.

NEW YORK—Peter Harris, most recently general manager of the New York office of San Francisco-based Access Communications, has joined Ketchum to work on the International Business Machines account.

Ketchum serves IBM as part of One Blue, a team that draws on professionals from several Omnicom public relations agencies.  Mr. Harris, who joins as a senior vice president of One Blue, will serve as a global senior counselor and lead specific initiatives for IBM.

As GM at Access, Harris served as senior manager and media relations specialist on accounts such as Hewlett Packard; Scholastic; and Ricola. He also managed the New York office’s day-to-day operations and new-business efforts and served on the agency’s management team.

Prior to Access, Mr. Harris was a partner and senior director at PepperCom.
