Healthcare Veteran Martin Joins Rabin Firm

NEW YORK—Bill Martin, most recently president of global health at Cohn & Wolfe, will join the senior management team at Rabin Strategic Partners as a partner. Rabin Strategic Partners is a global healthcare management firm founded in 2003 by Steve Rabin, former president of Nelson Public Relations and head of media and public education for the Kaiser Family Foundation.

 

Rabin Strategic Partners acts as a project development and implementation office for clients including the AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition, Columbia University, Doctors of the World/ HealthRight, Johnson & Johnson and Tibotec. The firm has helped establish access to medicines programs in 100 countries, forge public-private research partnerships, establish more than 500 school and primary care adolescent health programs in 43 states and manage multiple state and federal health policy projects.

Martin has led numerous public health campaigns as well as issues, crisis and change management. While at Cohn & Wolfe, he led internal change communications for Merck’s corporate turnaround effort; created the Vioxx management and communications team; led a highly successful communications effort with the Clinton Global Initiative supporting vaccination of Nicaraguan infants against rotavirus; and directed an integrated PR and government affairs program to help the National AIDS Drug Assistance Program grow its congressional appropriation.
