Henderson to Lead Edelman's Texas Operations

Edelman has appointed Teresa Henderson executive vice president and general manager of its Southwest Region, which includes existing Edelman offices in Dallas and Austin.

DALLAS—Edelman has appointed Teresa Henderson executive vice president and general manager of its Southwest Region, which includes existing Edelman offices in Dallas and Austin. 

Henderson will manage operations in Texas and be responsible for expanding Edelman’s presence beyond the Texas border to include Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma. She will report to Mark Shadle, executive vice president and managing director of corporate affairs.

Edelman has operated in Texas since 1983 and currently has 30 employees in the state specializing in public affairs, consumer and lifestyle brand marketing, issues and crisis management and corporate communications.  Texas clients include Boy Scouts of America, Methodist Hospital Houston, Project Management Institute, Wyndham Hotels, Sigma-Tel, hotels.com, WiMax Forum, and  Nissan.

Henderson joins Edelman from Ketchum, where she was associate director of the agency’s South region, director of Texas operations, and U.S. liaison to the firm’s Latin American offices. Previously, she was director of corporate communications for two Danaher Corp. industrial products companies.
