PROVO—High-tech public relations firm Connect Public Relations has opened a Greater Washington D.C. office to serve the company’s existing public sector clients and serve as a base for an aggressive growth strategy in the coming year.

“With all indicators pointing to a tech recovery this year, we feel well positioned to open this new office and extend our agency coverage from coast to coast,” said Neil Myers, president of Connect. “With the growth of the Dulles technology corridor, increases in venture capital and government spending, and the wealth of executive talent, we consider the Greater Washington area to be a prime hub for serving the interests of innovative technology companies.

“As small and mid-sized private companies emerge from the economic downturn, both here and throughout the East, there will be a need for affordable and proven public relations strategy and results without the hassles and costs of a big-named agency.”

The new office, based in Herndon, Va, will focus on providing strategic development and execution of editorial and analyst relations programs to the growing number of emerging and innovative technology companies on the East Coast.  The office will also actively support Connect PR’s public sector capabilities by providing the necessary resources and counsel to companies wishing to enhance their presence in the Greater Washington area.
