Hill & Knowlton Hires Bailey To Lead New York Office

Hill & Knowlton has appointed Ian Bailey as executive vice president and general manager of its New York office.

NEW YORK—Hill & Knowlton has appointed Ian Bailey as executive vice president and general manager of its New York office. He will report directly to Dan Bartlett, US president and CEO. He will be responsible for client service, business development and operations in New York, the firm’s global headquarters.

Most recently Ian was managing partner and co-founder of Capital C Partners, a strategic communications consultancy, where he advised C-level clients on corporate positioning, financial, corporate and crisis communications, and investor relations in the technology, clean-tech, financial services and healthcare sectors.

Prior to founding Capital C, Bailey was executive vice president and managing director of US and UK financial communications and investor relations at Weber Shandwick and also led the firm’s UK and New York financial services marketing activities.

In addition to his US and UK roles at Weber Shandwick, Bailey has held senior management positions at Financial Dynamics and FitzGerald Communications.
