NEW YORK—Hill & Knowlton is opening an office in Bogotá, Colombia. The new office expands H&K’s presence in Latin America, giving H&K eight fully-owned and operated offices in the region.
According to Mark Thorne, H&K’s global COO and head of Latin America: “Given the economic importance of Colombia, it is critical to have a direct presence. Economic growth has been consistent over the past four years with local and foreign investments increasing, particularly in mining, energy, manufacturing, banking, pharma, tourism, automotive and IT. This is a very good situation for our clients and H&K.”
Leading H&K in Bogotá is general manager Mauricio Borja, who brings more than 15 years experience in public relations. Previously, he worked with Burson- Marsteller, Radionet and Buenos Días Colombia.
