Hillyer, Alvarez Join Qorvis as Managing Directors

Quin Hillyer, an award-winning journalist and former press secretary for former House Appropriations chairman Bob Livingston (R-LA), has joined Qorvis as a managing director.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Quin Hillyer, an award-winning journalist and former press secretary for former House Appropriations chairman Bob Livingston (R-LA), has joined Qorvis as a managing director. Prior to joining Qorvis, Hillyer served as an editorial writer for the Mobile Register and for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He is also a senior editor at The American Spectator and writes a monthly column for the Washington Examiner.

Hillyer is one of 10 new hires at the public affairs and communications firm. Also joining as managing director is Eric Alvarez, a former CBS news reporter and news anchor, who will manage communications campaigns on the West coast.  Alvarez previously worked as a television news reporter for two CBS owned and operated stations on the West Coast: KPIX-TV in San Francisco and KOVR-TV in Sacramento.

Kathleen Corcoran, who previously served as director of public relations and publications for Volunteers of America, a national service organization, joins Qorvis as director, as does Jarrett Bens, previously of Luntz Maslansky Strategic Research. 

Kathleen Michael joins as a senior associate from the Elsevier subsidiary F-D-C Reports. Ludwig Jablonski joins as an art director from Gura & Associates Advertising. Erica Wode joins as a senior associate from The Active Marketing Group, a sports marketing agency. Brynna McCosker joins Qorvis’s research division, iQ Research & Consulting, as a senior associate from Wirthlin Worldwide. Anne Kelly joins as an associate, as does Emily Boyer in the creative services team.
