WASHINGTON, D.C.—Dittus Communications, the public affairs firm owned by international business communications consultancy Financial Dynamics, has hired Peter Holran as vice president and head of the crisis and issues management practice.

Prior to joining Dittus, Holran was senior director at WPP’s Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates, where he focused on general transportation, aviation and homeland security issues, with an emphasis on technology and non-lethal weapon solutions. He also worked on developing and implementing public policy strategies on aerospace, technology and energy issues.

Prior to joining Wexler & Walker, he spent four years as deputy chief of staff to then-Rep. Robert Walker and held various positions for former-Rep. R. Lawrence Coughlin.

At Dittus, Holran will be replacing Kevin Walker, who has joined Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America as vice president for group access and affordability after five years at Dittus.
