Howard Returns to USOC to Head Communications

The United States Olympic Committee has hired Jeff Howard as director of corporate communications. Howard was most recently managing director of media and public relations for the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO—The United States Olympic Committee has hired Jeff Howard as director of corporate communications. Howard was most recently managing director of media and public relations for the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

In his new role, Howard will oversee the communications needs for key USOC event properties such as the Titan Games, the Pacific Rim Series and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. He will also be responsible for the USOC’s media training program for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes, coaches and delegation personnel, and will oversee the development and implementation of the USOC’s National Anti-Doping Education Program.

Howard returns to the USOC after working with the NCAA since March 2003. During his first term with the USOC, which began in 1999, Howard was the associate director of media and public relations. He was a part of the USOC’s media services staff for the 2000 and 2002 Olympic Games.
