HP Veteran Bailey Joins Text 100

Text 100 Public Relations has appointed David Bailey as senior vice president in North America. Bailey, who will work out of the Text 100 San Francisco office, has previous experience on the corporate side of the business.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Text 100 Public Relations has appointed David Bailey as senior vice president in North America. Bailey, who will work out of the Text 100 San Francisco office, has previous experience on the corporate side of the business with companies including Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. He will support Text 100’s corporate communications practice and will advise clients in the Bay Area and across North America.

Bailey spent the last two years with Hewlett-Packard as director of internal communications. During a time of transformation under new chief executive Mark Hurd, Bailey directed communications for the 100,000 employees within HP’s $35 billion technology solutions group.

Prior to his time at HP, Bailey was with Sun Microsystems for more than eight years in a range of marketing and communications positions for Sun’s vertical industry, product and sales divisions. Before Sun Microsystems, Bailey worked with PR agencies Applied Communications, Copithorne & Bellows and Burson-Marsteller.
