HONG KONG—Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies brand will pick up three Silver SABRE Awards for excellence in creative product, and WPP agencies Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide will each take home multiple Silver trophies from the second annual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards dinner, which will take place in Hong Kong on September 26.

This is the first time the Silver SABRE Awards, which recognize the diverse range of content creation within the public relations industry, have been presented in the Asia-Pacific region. The Silver awards have been a fixture in the EMEA and North American SABREs for several years.

“One reason the public relations industry is benefiting from the digital and social media revolution and changes in the marketing landscape is that PR people have experience producing a broad range of creative content,” says Holmes Group chief executive and SABRE judges chairman Paul Holmes. “PR people are not tied to one category of media, they produce content that is experiential, earned, owned and paid.

“And they are used to creating content that takes on a life of its own, generating authentic and sustainable conversations that multiply and amplify its impact. That’s the kind of work these new awards will recognize.”

Finalists in the Gold SABRE categories were announced earlier this week.

The awards will be presented at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong on September 26. Tables and individual tickets are available from Celeste Picco.
