LONDON—Huntsworth, parent company of Grayling, Citigate and The Red Consultancy, has expanded its Huntsworth Health operations through the acquisition of medical communications company ScopeMedical for an initial cash consideration of £4.6 million plus further performance-related consideration.

ScopeMedical serves global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies headquartered in Europe and America, providing strategic communications, advocacy development, publication planning, event management and e-healthcare services.

ScopeMedical founders and shareholders Jeremy Williams and William Allingham will both continue to lead the business under the Huntsworth Health brand and develop it further within Huntsworth Health’s global medical communications operations.

Says Williams: “In order to continue to realize our vision of being a world leader in medical communications, we were looking for a partner that would enable us to expand our service offering while also expanding our business reach on a global basis.”
