Hyde Park Launches Financial Communications Unit

Hyde Park Communications, a four-year-old strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs and media relations, has formed a new division, Hyde Park Financial Communications, and named Fred Bratman as president.

NEW YORK—Hyde Park Communications, a four-year-old strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs and media relations, has formed a new division, Hyde Park Financial Communications, and named Fred Bratman as president. Hyde Park Financial Communications will provide clients with senior-level expertise in investor relations, media relations, corporate communications and crisis communications.

“Hyde Park Communications is an evolving company. By expanding the firm’s expertise, we are able to meet clients’ demand for valuable specialized communications services,” said Jeffrey Sandman, CEO of Hyde Park Communications. “This new venture is a testament to our commitment to helping our clients achieve their goals.”

Bratman, who will also serve as executive vice president of Hyde Park Communications, was previously vice president of corporate communications at United Rentals, one of the world’s largest equipment rental companies, where he was responsible for investor, media and employee communications, reporting to the chairman and CEO. He joined United after serving as director of marketing and communications for Deutsche Bank’s investment bank in North America and as vice president at Sard Verbinnen

Founded by Sandman and Paul DelPonte, Hyde Park Communications is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with an office in New York. Clients include Pfizer, Hoffman-LaRoche, Johnson & Johnson, Oral Health America, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Duke University and Morehouse School of Medicine.
