IBM's McMullen Joins Bank One as Head of PR

Bank One Corporation has named Melinda McMullen, most recently vice president of communications at IBM, as senior vice president of communications and public affairs, reporting to Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive officer.

CHICAGO, July 24—Bank One Corporation has named Melinda McMullen, most recently vice president of communications at IBM, as senior vice president of communications and public affairs, reporting to Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive officer. She replaces Gerry Buldak, a veteran of the Chicago public relations scene, who retired last month.
 
McMullen, who has 20 years of experience spanning the agency and corporate worlds, will be responsible for corporate communication, media relations, contributions, and the company’s home page.
 
McMullen began her career with Ketchum in San Francisco, and has worked at Burson-Marsteller, American Express, Fireman’s Fund Corporation, Edelman Public Relations and IBM’s research and technology and global services divisions.
