NEW YORK—Financial communications specialist ICR has hired public affairs veteran Michael Robinson as managing director and former business and financial journalist John Jannarone as senior vice president.

Robinson will provide public affairs counsel and regulatory and legislative insight for clients and will strengthen ICR’s crisis and corporate communications expertise. Prior to joining ICR, Robinson spent almost a decade at Levick, where he was executive vice president. His also held roles with Freddie Mac, Hill & Knowlton, the United States Securities & Exchange Commission, NASDAQ and Mobil Corporation.

Jannarone joins ICR after a lengthy career as a financial journalist with
The Wall Street Journal and most recently, CNBC, where he was a regular contributor on Fast Money and Closing Bell.  He began his career in financial services, working as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley and as a trader. At ICR, he will help clients with print and broadcast business media relations. 

Robinson will be based in Washington, DC, and Jannarone will work from ICR’s New York office.
