CHICAGO—Edelman has hired Kim Robinson, a veteran of Illinois state public affairs, as senior consultant. She will be based in Springfield and will report to Kevin Cook, deputy general manager, reputation management practice, Edelman Chicago.
“Kim has already proven to be a tremendous asset by introducing us to key decision-makers at a state level,” said Cook. “Her relationships throughout the state and perspective on criteria for winning state contracts will be important differentiators for Edelman in the months ahead.”
Robinson’s experience includes helping to spearhead the initiative to lower the drunken driving threshold to .08, and to increase penalties for those who drive without insurance. She also helped transform the state’s organ donor program through an innovative marketing program that increased donations by 60 percent in two years.
