LONDON, September 17—Incepta, the parent company of public relations agencies Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Citigate Cunningham, continued the diversification of its holdings this week with the acquisition of two U.K.-based sponsorship consultancies, Redmandarin Limited and Karen Earl Limited

Incepta has historically been best known for its work in the investor relations realm, but its acquisition of Cunningham Communication last year took it into the technology arena, and earlier this year it bought into the consumer marketing business with the acquisition of The Red Consultancy, one of London’s premier creative shops.

According to Incepta executive chairman David Wright, “Our clients are increasingly recognizing the strategic value of sponsorship in delivering brand communication. The acquisition of Karen Earl and Redmandarin offers our clients high-level, impartial and independent advice on sponsorship strategy, development and implementation.”

Redmandarin, established in 1999, provides clients with specialist advice on developing sponsorship strategies and has worked for blue-chip clients such as Andersen, Barclays, Ericsson, Sky, Unilever and Visa. KEL, established in 1984, is a full-service consultancy specializing in event management, PR and media services, with clients such as Cornhill Insurance—best known for its cricket sponsorship— Coca-Cola, Gallaher, Guardian Media, Norwich Union, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Wilkinson Sword.
