CHR acquires Zlokower; Konnect opens in New York; Global Communicators partners with Japanese firm; Phase 3 makes acquisition; NUVI expands.

NEW YORK—The CHR Group, an integrated marketing services holding company, has acquired Zlokower Company, a New York-based media relations firm with a strong concentration in real estate and other professional services. The 30-year-old firm, led by founder and President Harry Zlokower, will maintain its current staff, brand and operations, based at The CHR Group's corporate headquarters in New York.

NEW YORK—Konnect Public Relations, a full-service public relations agency headquartered in Los Angeles, has opened its third location in New York City, following its expansion earlier this year in Austin, Tex.

WASHINGTON, DC—Global Communicators, an international public relations and public affairs consulting firm, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Makaira, a Tokyo-based public affairs consultancy focused on government relations, technology, culture, and social innovation in Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Jim Harff, president and CEO of Global Communicators, and Ko Fujii, founder and CEO of Makaira, have collaborated on several Japanese projects over the last year.

ATLANTA—Phase 3 Marketing & Communications, a marketing, PR and creative agency, has acquired Brand Fever, a brand and digital marketing firm that drives engaging experiences online and offline. Based in Atlanta, Brand Fever’s 25-person team will operate as a division of Phase 3.

LINDON, UT—NUVI, which offers real-time social media listening and reporting, has expanded its sentiment analysis feature to include 14 new languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Arabic, and Russian. This expanded language set gives brands additional ways to visualize and analyze vital social media conversations.
