New alliances between Waggener Edstrom and Environics, Global Gateway and Lyonshare; new brand for Hennes Paynter.

TORONTO—Waggener Edstrom Communications and Canadian-based independent Environics Communications have forged a new partnership. Environics specializes in technology, corporate and finance, consumer, health sciences, digital and creative services, not-for-profit, and government relations serving clients such as Netflix, Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada, Panasonic, Boehringer Ingelheim, and FRHI Hotels & Resorts from offices in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

NEW YORK—Global Gateway Advisors, a New York-based communications consultancy, and LyonShare Communications Group, a San Francisco-based integrated communications firm, have formed a strategic alliance. The firms have collaborated on shared client assignments over the past five years in areas such as corporate and executive positioning, IPO communications, crisis and issues management, social impact and global public affairs. 

CLEVELAND—Crisis specialist Hennes Paynter Communications has rebranded as Hennes Communications following the departure of former partner Barbara Paynter, who is launching her own consultancy. Along with the rebranding, the firm has promoted Nora Jacobs to senior vice president at the firm, working alongside founder Bruce Hennes.
