GUATEMALA CITY—Spanish public relations firm Atrevia has expanded its Latin American network with the addition of an office in Guatemala. The firm now has presence is 13 countries, in addition to its comprehensive coverage of the Iberian peninsula, and the new office will serve Guatemala and adjoining Central American countries including El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. The new office will be led by director general Javier Medrano, a 20-year veteran of the market.

NEW YORK—Global Strategy Group has formed a new corporate impact practice that will help corporations build and protect their brands, reframe their corporate social responsibility programs. The practice will be co-led by GSG executive vice presidents Tanya Meck and Julie Hootkin. WASHINGTON, DC—The Smoot Tewes Group, an integrated political and public affairs consulting firm, has formed a media engagement practice that will offer television and radio booking, media placement, media training and other services. Chris Fleming will lead the media booking practice as the firm’s media engagement principal. He joined STG in May of last year and has led media relations strategy and execution for Myrlie Evers, The Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute, ActBlue and others. In addition, STG recently brought on Capitol Hill veteran Sam McCullough, most recently communications director in the office of Congresswoman Betty McCollum, as a senior communications & media engagement associate.
