Holmes Report

NEW YORK—Lifestyle marketing and PR firm HL Group, part of MDC Communication, has acquired Alice Ryan’s A Company. A Company was founded in 1999, focused on the luxury brand market for events and public relations and working with clients in fashion, beauty, hospitality and media. Its event management and influencer marketing expertise will supplement the event production and brand strategy services HL Group offers its own clients.

FAIRFAX, VA—PulsePoint Group, the management and digital consulting unit of ICF International, has promoted Grant Toups to managing partner, responsible for management of the firm's day-to-day operations. Toups, who has been with PulsePoint since its founding, currently is a principal. He will continue to be based in Los Angeles and will maintain close involvement with PulsePoint's clients. Founders Bob Feldman and Jeff Hunt will remain as PulsePoint's founding partners, and will continue to be involved in servicing clients and expanding the business.

LONDON—International trade association ICCO and the UK’s Public Relations Consultants Association have launched a policy unity in conjunction with the #FuturePRoof community, which recently published a book about the future of public relations management and practice. The #FuturePRoof policy unit will draw on the community, and expertise of the boards, council and groups of both ICCO and the PRCA to develop policy content. The unit will aim to publish open source documents regularly via both the ICCO and the PRCA.
