ASHLAND, OR—Peter Dowd, former senior vice president of corporate relations at Fidelity Investments, has joined executive search and management consulting firm Marshall Consultants as chairman. Besides handling selected senior-level executive search assignments, Dowd will service Marshall’s management consulting clients, conduct corporate communications audits, advise on mergers and acquisitions for public relations firms, and counsel PR consultancies on new business development. Prior to joining Fidelity Investments in 1996, Dowd served for eight years as vice president and general manager of public relations at Texaco. His agency experience included more than a decade with Hill & Knowlton. He also served as a partner in the international communications management consulting firm of Haley Kiss & Dowd.
