Ken Robinson, a veteran of the Harrisburg public relations scene, has formed Robinson Group Strategic Communications.

HARRISBURG, PA—Ken Robinson, a veteran of the Harrisburg public relations scene, has formed Robinson Group Strategic Communications. The agency will offer public and media relations counsel to a wide range of sizes and types of organizations, from businesses to government agencies to non-profits and trade associations. Prior to forming his first PR agency in 1998, Robinson was communications vice president for the Pennsylvania Medical Society for eight years, managing a 10-person communications team for the statewide association. Earlier, he was press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, one of the commonwealth’s largest state agencies. Prior to that, he was a radio news director in Wilkes-Barre.

NASHVILLE, TN—The Americas region of the Worldcom Public Relations Group, a network of independently owned public relations firms, has elected a new board of directors, including Melissa Sturges of Sturges Word Communications in Kansas City, Mo., as regional chair. John Bliss of Bliss Gouverneur & Associates in New York was named chair elect.
