NEW YORK—Financial communications specialist Prosek Partners has acquired Muirfield Partners, a Los Angeles-based strategic corporate and financial communications agency. Muirfield represents clients across multiple industries including asset management, private equity and hedge funds, investment banking, technology and real estate. It also works with clients in special situations such as litigation, financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, labor issues, high-level executive changes and other sensitive communications matters. Mickey Mandelbaum, founder and president of Muirfield, will become a partner at Prosek.

WASHINGTON, DC—FTI Consulting has launched a new and enhanced affiliate network extending the geographic coverage of its existing 28 offices to more than 100 additional countries. AUSTIN—Proof, the business impact analytics company that computes the connection between marketing and revenue, has recruited top software technology leader Tom Bishop as co-founder and CTO. After leading global product transformations at IBM, BMC Software, IronStratus and StoredIQ (IBM), Bishop co-founded financial technology startup Honest Dollar with William Hurley in March 2015, before it was acquired by Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining as CTO, Bishop served as a technology advisor to Proof for the past year. He also escalated his involvement to become an investor in the company.

LONDON—Virgo Health has marked the official launch of its healthcare innovation hub, egg, with its first two proprietary white-label products, Prodigi and Trial360. Egg’s mission is to create products that make a meaningful every day difference to patients, healthcare professionals and the pharmaceutical industry. Prodigi is white-label technology to create closed, purpose-built digital networks enabling organisations to facilitate improved collaborative working, best practice sharing, ongoing professional development and health education, whilst learning from the insights captured. Trial360 is a digital platform enabling maximum clinical trial efficiencies.

LONDON—Citigate Dewe Rogerson has launched a global hedge fund practice that spans London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. The practice will be led by senior director Christen Thomson, a former deputy CEO of the Alternative Investment Management Association, the global representative of the alternative investment industry.

LOS ANGELES—Los Angeles-based HealthWell PR has opened a Washington, DC, area office to better serve the firm’s clients on the East Coast and worldwide. The East Coast office will be led by HealthWell vice president K. Pearson Brown, a native of the Washington, DC area, who relocated from Los Angeles. Brown, who formerly served as vice president at PMBC Group, leads HealthWell’s public relations division.
