NEW YORK—Financial communications specialist Prosek Partners has acquired Muirfield Partners, a Los Angeles-based strategic corporate and financial communications agency. Muirfield represents clients across multiple industries including asset management, private equity and hedge funds, investment banking, technology and real estate. It also works with clients in special situations such as litigation, financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, labor issues, high-level executive changes and other sensitive communications matters. Mickey Mandelbaum, founder and president of Muirfield, will become a partner at Prosek.

AUSTIN—Proof, the business impact analytics company that computes the connection between marketing and revenue, has recruited top software technology leader Tom Bishop as co-founder and CTO. After leading global product transformations at IBM, BMC Software, IronStratus and StoredIQ (IBM), Bishop co-founded financial technology startup Honest Dollar with William Hurley in March 2015, before it was acquired by Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining as CTO, Bishop served as a technology advisor to Proof for the past year. He also escalated his involvement to become an investor in the company.
