NEW YORK—Sloane & Company has been hired by infoUSA, a leading provider of proprietary business and consumer databases, sales leads, direct marketing, and email marketing. Sloane is working with infoUSA to provide strategic and crisis communications support to manage a series of communications challenges and is also providing marketing, transactional and investor relations support.
The PR firm is helping to defend against a hostile campaign challenging the company’s management, led by activist hedge funds. The firm is also helping to clarify infoUSA’s consumer-friendly position on direct marketing industry best practices in the face of what it believes to be misleading press coverage.
Chief executive Elliot Sloane, senior vice president John Hartz, and associate Doree Damoulakis lead the infoUSA account.
