BRUSSELS—Interel Group has launched a new dedicated Brussels-based practice, Interel 402 PR, following the split of its Belgian business, Interel Belgium, into two companies focusing on corporate communications and public affairs and brand and marketing communications.

The two businesses will continue operating side by side together with Interel’s two other Brussels based practices, the 25-strong European affairs practice and its 20-strong association management company, as well as the group’s international operations in Berlin, London, Paris, Prague and Washington, D.C.

Interel 402 PR has been created to allow for a better focus on the growing importance of PR, from press relations to the organization of consumer activating marketing campaigns, endorsement programs and social media relations. It is led by managing director Jan Van Heuverswyn, who is sharing his time between his management role and corporate assignments serviced by Interel Belgium.

Clients of the new group include Beiersdorf, Black & Decker, Club Med, Kraft Foods, Mars, Mattel and Unilever.
