HONG KONG—Ketchum Greater China has named Marian I-Ming Ma general manager of Ketchum Taiwan. Ma has 16 years of experience in the communications industry and was a co-founder of Dynamics Public Relations where she specialized in strategic counseling, event management and sports sponsorship, especially corporate golf tournaments. As general manager, Ma will be responsible for client services management, new business development and overall agency management at Ketchum Taiwan based in Taipei and will report to partner and CEO of Ketchum Greater China Kenneth Chu. She takes over from Jerry Peng who remains with the company as an advisor with specific responsibility for new business development.

LONDON—European technology PR agency network AxiCom has been selected to launch Medio Systems, a provider of mobile search and advertising solutions, into Europe. AxiCom will manage the company’s communications efforts with an initial focus on communicating Medio Systems’ leadership in mobile search. The firm will also deliver press and industry analyst briefings to support Medio’s expansion into Europe and to place search and advertising in the context of the expansion in demand for mobile content and data including web access and email.
