LONDON--InVentiv Health has made a slew of UK hires as it aims to step up its offering in Europe.

The developments follow the launch of InVentiv Health Communications/Europe (IHCE) last year, and include a new HQ for the integrated healthcare comms agency in London. One of IHCE’s firms is healthcare PR specialist Chandler Chicco.

InVentiv Health, the holding group that includes IHCE, has named Mark Archer as SVP of European operations and development for its commercial unit. Archer will lead the company’s efforts to broaden its commercial operations in Europe, as well as identify and support new business opportunities in the region.

Prior to joining the company, Archer served as VP of global business development at Quintiles. In addition, Archer held several executive positions at Sanofi-Aventis in Europe, including VP of alliance management. Archer also served in marketing and sales positions at Roche and Merck in the UK.

IHCE, meanwhile, has made three new appointments to senior management roles: Nick Bartlett, Damon Caiazza and Peter Comber.

Bartlett, who joins from Publicis Life Brands Resolute, will lead iHCE’s digital and social media business. Caiazza and Comber are both internal promotions, and will oversee advertising and creative services, respectively.

“We are committed to providing clients with a multidisciplinary approach that taps the expertise of all healthcare marketing disciplines, and today’s appointments reinforce this commitment,” said IHCE senior MD Fiona Hall. “As part of our senior management team, Nick, Damon and Peter will support our go-to-market strategy rooted in client demand for effective, actionable multidisciplinary services that reach target audiences with greater speed and relevance.”
