NEW YORK—Consumer marketing and branding executive Ken Jacobs has joined Maloney & Fox—the consumer public relations boutique recently acquired by Waggener Edstrom—as executive vice president and general manager.

Jacobs has worked on a number of high-profile assignments including the award-winning launches of Wonderbra and the first American foodstuffs with NutraSweet. His experience ranges from revitalizing mature brands to creating cause-related marketing efforts that have increased product sales to developing special events. His category expertise includes packaged goods, food and beverage, consumer healthcare, intimate apparel, nutrition and prestige brands.

“Ken brings to Maloney & Fox great brand building experience, along with his high energy level and passion for the work – all of which make him a perfect fit with our culture,” says agency co-founder Brian Maloney, who worked with Jacobs at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

Most recently an EVP at Marina Maher Communications, Jacobs began his career at legacy Ogilvy PR companies, including D-A-Y Public Relations, Ogilvy & Mather PR, and Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart, rising from assistant account executive to managing director/consumer during his 14 years with the firm.

He has been consulting at Maloney & Fox since July. Initially, he will focus on campaigns for MSN and Microsoft, as well as assisting with new business development, profitability and training.
