NEW YORK—The Jeffrey Group has appointed Mike Valdés-Fauli as head of the firm’s U.S. Hispanic practice and managing director of the agency’s New York City office. He had been a managing director at the agency’s Miami headquarters since 2004.  Carmen Hiers has been promoted to director of client service in Miami where she will work closely with Valdés-Fauli.

Jorge Ortega, president of The Jeffrey Group—traditionally best known for its work in Latin America—says the firm’s U.S. Hispanic practice has experienced rapid expansion, with major client wins such as Western Union, Getty Images, Laureate Education, and Diageo.

Valdés-Fauli joined The Jeffrey Group in 2004 from Conexión PR. Prior to that, he held positions at the Hispanic division of Universal Pictures in Los Angeles and Fleishman-Hillard in Washington, D.C.
