LOS ANGELES—JS² Communications, a California-based public relations and marketing consulting agency, has named Chris Bess and Alissa Pinck as general managers for its Los Angeles and New York offices respectively. Both will work with agency principals Jeff Smith and Jill Sandin to manage and grow business, while Bess will also spearhead growth of the company’s consumer entertainment division, which includes Buena Vista Home Entertainment and Pacific Theatres/ArcLight Cinemas as clients.
Prior to JS², Bess spent 14 years at Walt Disney Studios’ Buena Vista Home Entertainment, most recently as executive director of national publicity and field marketing, leading the in-house PR team as well as 27 regional field agencies executing campaigns for more than 300 DVD releases annually.
Pinck was most recently vice president at G.S. Schwartz & Co., where she led communications campaigns for a wide variety of consumer and corporate clients, including Anheuser-Busch, eToys, Cold-Eeze, Pressman Toys, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and Filterfresh Coffee Services. Previously, she worked at video game manufacturer NewKidCo, leading animation house DIC Entertainment and Fox Family Worldwide.
