NEW YORK—Kaplow has added Nick Charles to its leadership team, in the newly created role of editor-in-chief and executive director of content. Charles will lead content and community management strategy and execution for Kaplow and its clients across multiple platforms, including traditional media, digital media and social communities.
Charles will also serve as the editorial voice of Kaplow and provide content-driven consultation and strategy to Kaplow’s clients.
Previously, Charles was at Porter Novelli as global head of content where he developed content strategy for leading brands including Hewlett Packard, Proctor & Gamble (Gillette), Merck, Capitol One, McDonalds and Timberland. He also drove editorial content strategy and execution for the agency.
Prior to his work at Porter Novelli, Charles held content-driven positions at Personal Democracy Forum, Home Front Communications, Ecomii and American Media, where he edited America's Hope: Barack Obama, How He Will Change Our World, an inauguration commemorative. Charles has also served as managing editor of Essence Magazine, vice president of digital content at BET.com and editor-in-chief of AOL Black Voices.
