Ernst & Young communications director Ken Kerrigan is departing the company after a decade to take on a senior role at Weber Shandwick New York.

Kerrigan becomes an EVP at Weber Shandwick, focusing on financial and professional services. He reports to Weber Shandwick New York GM and EVP Paul Jensen.

Kerrigan most recently oversaw communications for the Americas at Ernst & Young. His 10-year career with the accountancy firm also included the role of deputy director of PR.

Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Kerrigan held senior roles at Hill & Knowlton and Edelman. He told the Holmes Report that his move to Weber Shandwick means that his career has come "full circle", after beginning his working life at Sawyer Miller, the agency that was once headed by current Weber Shandwick CEO Harris Diamond.
