WASHINGTON, D.C., March 29—Ketchum government affairs subsidiary The Washington Group has hired David Crane as senior vice president. Crane has extensive experience working with the Senate Republican leadership, most recently as as senior policy advisor to Senate Republican Leader Trent Lott.

“Having worked with David over the years, we’re thrilled to have him join our team,” says Susan Molinari, TWG president and CEO.  “David’s outstanding track record as a political strategist for Republican leadership in the Senate further strengthens The Washington Group’s bi-partisan capabilities.”

While working with Lott, Crane managed the leader’s activities with the Senate and House Appropriations Committees; coordinated activities with the committees and leadership staff of both Houses; and developed and implemented floor strategies on key domestic issues such as appropriations, technology, transportation, education, energy, environment, banking and financial services.

Prior to joining Lott’s staff, Crane served for two years as a professional staff member for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
