LONDON—Mark Cater, for the past year head of the global healthcare practice at Ketchum, is moving to APCO Worldwide to spearhead the development of the firm’s work in marketing and product communication in the health care arena.
Cater will be based in London, reporting to Brad Staples, CEO of APCO’s EMEA region and will be responsible for integrating the firm’s strategic and marketing communication offer with its better established presence in healthcare public affairs and corporate communication. He will also work in close collaboration with healthcare communication professionals at APCO’s operations in Washington, D.C.; New York; Brussels and Shanghai.

APCO, historically best known for its work in the public affairs arena, has been diversifying the scope of its operations in recent years—a process that accelerated after a management buyout that liberated the firm from former parent Grey Global Group.
