PITTSBURGH, March 15—Paul Furiga, former vice president at Ketchum public relations and past editor of the Pittsburgh Business Times, has formed WordWrite Communications, a public relations agency that will offer services ranging from corporate, crisis and financial communications to employee relations, media relations and public affairs.

“During my eight years in Pittsburgh, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work with fantastic colleagues and clients, first at the Business Times, and then at Ketchum,” Furiga said.  “WordWrite is the culmination of something I’ve wanted to do for a long time: grow the local economy by helping companies here tell their great untold stories.”

In addition to local companies, WordWrite provides services to global and national corporations outside the region, including BASF Corporation. During his tenure at Ketchum, Furiga worked for clients including Alcoa, Bridgestone/Firestone, The Florida State Board of Administration and Koppers Industries, and led the firm’s labor relations team.
