OSLO—Nordic public relations powerhouse Geelmuyden.Kiese has forged a partnership with Ketchum, and will represent the global agency on an exclusive basis in all the Nordic markets. In addition to Denmark, Sweden and Norway, where Geelmuyden.Kiese has wholly owned offices, the firm will also cover Finland, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands through local partners.
“With Geelmuyden.Kiese as part of our global team, Ketchum’s market presence in the Nordic countries will match our strong presence in other important regions,” says Jon Higgins, senior partner and chief executive of Ketchum in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Geelmuyden.Kiese, best known for its work in corporate and financial communications, crisis and public affairs, has expertise in technology, media, and telecommunications; banking and finance; oil and energy; retail and consumer; health; and travel and transportation. The firm is led by a team of 11 partners.
“We are experiencing increased demand from Nordic clients for assistance outside of our region,” says Stein Jacob Frisch, managing director of Geelmuyden.Kiese Group. “Our clients deserve the best and, with Ketchum, we believe we can deliver exactly that. We both apply a planning methodology to communication challenges and our cultures and values are a good fit. Those factors are prerequisites for a good partnership.”
The agreement between Ketchum and Geelmuyden.Kiese does not involve any present or future changes in the ownership structure.
