CHICAGO—Jim Beam Brands Company, a unit of Fortune Brands, has selected Ketchum’s Chicago office to handle public relations for Jim Beam, the world’s best selling bourbon.
Ketchum had already been working with Jim Beam Brands since January 2004 to support a U.S. market test of the new Starbucks Coffee Liqueur—a distribution-and-development agreement between Jim Beam Brands and Starbucks Coffee Company.
“With Ketchum as a partner, we intend to increase awareness of both new and existing products and continue to promote our corporate social responsibility initiatives,” said Beth Bronner, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Jim Beam Brands. “We have been impressed with Ketchum’s strategic thinking as we position our business for even stronger growth.”
Ketchum Chicago’s brand-marketing clients include ConAgra, International Truck and Engine, Kimberly Clark Corp., Wendy’s, Home Depot, and Horizon Organic.
Jim Beam Brands also continues to work with Oakbrook-based JSH&A public relations, a partnership of more than a decade. JSH&A manages the company’s super-premium portfolio, including Knob Creek Bourbon, Vox Vodka and El Tesoro Tequila.
