LOS ANGELES—David Krawitz has been appointed senior vice president at Fleishman-Hillard Los Angeles and will direct the office’s corporate communications practice.
Immediately prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, Krawitz was a partner in California Communications, a boutique consulting company focused on reputation management, internal, and crisis communications. Previously, he served as general manager of APCO Worldwide’s office in Los Angeles.
According to Richard Kline, Fleishman-Hillard regional president, senior partner, and Los Angeles general manager, “His special expertise in corporate reputation management, crisis management, healthcare, and internal communications, and his ability to create and manage innovative and creative communications campaigns, make David an excellent addition to our team.”
Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Krawitz was president and managing director at Powell Tate Weber Shandwick in Washington, D.C. He has served as managing director of Burson-Marsteller’s
Washington, D.C.-based U.S. healthcare practice. Prior to his decade-long agency career, Krawitz spent more than 16 years as a senior staff member of the United States Senate, where he served as chief of staff to Senator Don Riegle (D-MI) and had experience on four Senate committees: labor and human resources, budget, finance, and banking, housing and urban affairs.
