LaForce + Stevens Names Three Partners

Retail, fashion, lifestyle and consumer public relations firm LaForce + Stevens has named Emily Richeda Garbaccio, Leslie Rummel and Meryl Weinsaft Cooper to the newly-created roles of senior vice president and partner.

NEW YORK—Retail, fashion, lifestyle and consumer public relations firm LaForce + Stevens has named Emily Richeda Garbaccio, Leslie Rummel and Meryl Weinsaft Cooper to the newly-created roles of senior vice president and partner. The three will continue to direct the firm’s key lifestyle and fashion divisions, while taking on additional human resources, training, administrative and business development roles.

Rummel, who has been with the company for seven years, specializes in fashion and lifestyle products, working with agency clients including Macy’s Merchandising Group, Invista/LYCRA, Gaiam, Façonnable, Ruehl and Jantzen. She was previously a news, lifestyle and fashion reporter for several newspapers in the Southeast.

Garbaccio has been with LaForce + Stevens for four years, serving clients such as Cadbury Adams, Banana Republic, Ellen Tracy and Target.  Prior to L+S, she was a senior associate at Burson-Marsteller.

Cooper leads a variety of top hospitality, consumer and spirits clients. Before joining the firm in 2005, she worked as director of public relations for Working Mother Media.

The firm is also opening a west coast office, which will provide a range of services to L+S clients and integrate entertainment brands and celebrities with the agency roster. L+S LA will be headed by Kate Olsen, who has been named account director.
