AHSLAND, OR—Marshall Consultants, the longtime Manhattan-based public relation executive search firm, has been reestablished in Ashland, Ore., by founder and CEO Larry Marshall following his return from early retirement.

Founded in 1967, Marshall Consultants was one of the first executive search and management consulting firms to specialize in the PR, investor relations, corporate and marketing communications functions. For more than 30 years the firm had eastern offices in New York, as well as western offices in Seattle and Los Angeles and represented more than half the Fortune 500 as well as major agencies.

The new practice is a boutique firm that will handle selected search assignments exclusively at the senior management level. Marshall will also offer consulting expertise, including mergers and acquisitions, and assistance in PR agency selection.

Marshall will be joined in the venture by his wife, Joy Marshall, who previously consulted for the Children’s Miracle Network on corporate fundraising events and cause-related marketing. Hugh McCandless, former executive vice president for Marshall Consultants, will serve in an “of counsel” capacity.
