IRVINGTON, NY—Riverside Public Relations, which specializes in communications for law firms and legal service providers as well as litigation public relations, is celebrating its first anniversary this month with the addition of three new clients: JAMS, The Resolution Experts; the patent group at Kaye Scholer; and the White Plains office of Hinman Howard & Kattell.

The firm founded by 20-year journalism and public relations veteran Rich Klein, also represents three Manhattan law firms: Kramer & Dunleavy, the first women-owned law firm to focus on women’s legal issues; Finkelstein Newman, a leading real estate law firm; and Gould Fishbein Reimer & Gottfried, which focuses on criminal defense, civil rights, and immigration issues.

Klein says many clients in the legal market are seeking counsel in areas other than traditional public relations. “They want top-tier media hits, but they also want increased guidance on marketing materials, direct mail, special events, speaking engagements, ads, and website design that will result in new business,” he says.

Previously, Klein held the top PR positions at the Anti-Defamation League, the New York County Lawyers’ Association and Proskauer Rose. He also represented numerous law firms and companies while at Rubenstein Associates and Magnet Communications.
