Lenovo Taps Ogilvy for Worldwide IR

Lenovo Group Limited, which recently acquired the personal computer division of IBM, has Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Asia Pacific as its lead agency for global investor relations.

NEW YORK—Lenovo Group Limited, which recently acquired the personal computer division of IBM and hired Text 100 as its lead international public relations firm, has selected Ogilvy & Mather to handle worldwide brand advertising and advertising for Lenovo’s “Think” branded products, including ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops, and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Asia Pacific as its lead agency for global investor relations.

“Lenovo is now poised to become one of the most well known and respected brands in the world, based on award-winning products, innovative technology and design,” says Deepak Advani, chief marketing officer at Lenovo.  “Ogilvy has a proven record in building global brands and is the ideal partner to help us around the world.”

OgilvyOne, OgilvyInteractive and MindShare will handle advertising, one-to-one marketing, demand generation, interactive media and related marketing activities for Lenovo in nearly 30 countries around the world.

Ogilvy PR in Beijing led the transaction communications for Lenovo’s acquisition of IBM’s Personal Computing Division.
