NEW YORK—Text 100 International, an international technology public relations consultancy, has been selected by Lenovo Group—formed by Lenovo’s acquisition of the IBM personal computing division—as its lead agency to provide public relations support internationally, focusing on product media relations strategy, execution and worldwide coordination.

Following the IBM acquisition, Chinese computer market Lenovo established itself among the top three companies in the global PC market, with approximately $13 billion in revenues.

Text 100, which had represented IBM, will work with Lenovo to continue its support of its line of ThinkPad notebooks, ThinkCentre desktops and ThinkVision monitors in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. The firm will direct the global program from its office in New York City and through hub locations in Beijing and Paris.

“The emergence of Lenovo, crossing cultures and developing as a global leader is an important business milestone in a time of increased globalization,” said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO Text 100. “Lenovo provides the unique opportunity to set a new standard in global communications and brand development. Text 100 is incredibly excited to be part of a new era in the PC industry and brand public relations.”
