LONDON—Lewis has added three significant hires in its U.K. headquarters to support expansion plans. Julie Walsh joins Lewis as account director and will be responsible for overseeing accounts such as IBM Cognos Software, Software AG and Getronics. She joins from Babel PR, where she worked as an account director with brands spanning the telco, digital media and technology sectors. Previously, Walsh also worked at Hill & Knowlton and in-house at T-Mobile.
Claire McCowan joins Lewis as account manager, with previous experience from MCC International and Livewire, where she spent her last four years. McCowan has experience of running campaigns for education, electronics and software clients. At Lewis, she will support international Avanade and Lexmark campaigns.
Fiona Bates, previously at Mosaic Publicity, joins as senior account executive, working with BT and CommuniGate. Bates has five years’ agency experience across a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, consultancy and property.
Lewis has also launched news 360, a news aggregation application for the iPhone. The Apple-approved application, available in the business category of the I Tunes store, offers a daily news digest straight to the user’s smartphone, categorized by country and by topic, to allow fast access to the most relevant content.
